From the Petition website - WELL SAID!!!!! 7:20 pm PST, Feb 23, Joy S., Ohio

JOY S. from Ohio signed the petition today and said:

Former NBA star Jayson Williams was sentenced to 5 yrs prison  (on February 23, 2010) with a minimum term of 18 months in prison following the acceptance of his guilty plea in the 2002 shooting death of his limo driver, Costas Christofi.

Williams has been out of jail since the night of the shooting in 2002.

No time in jail.

He has a long history of violent crimes.

He kills a man and more than likely will only serve 18 months and be freed.

Pat has been in jail now since Sept 2008.

No trial.

No bail.

Pat killed no one.

Pat had no previous law violations.

But the charges against Pat could put him behind bars for life?

Pat has PTSD which caused his legal problems.

Williams has no such illness which led to his legal problems.

Pat fought for his country.

All Williams ever fought for (legally) was a rebound or loose ball.

The only justice that can be served is for Pat to be granted time served and mandated mental health care.

(I thank you for your comments and in-sight Joy!  As a reminder, by the time Pat Lamoureux's trial starts, July 20th 2010, he will have been incarcerated for 22 months.  - Sue Lamoureux)
